Day 2: You have the choice of seeing a beautiful sunrise or sleeping in a little longer. We will have breakfast at the cabins before we start our second day of adventure. We will stop and explore waterfalls that are accessible only by boat. We will also get to do some snorkeling in the afternoon. We have lunch on a deserted beach. We will be paddling around the mysterious Mogos Islands, where we always stop to do a little exploring. We will land at Paradise, where we will sleep on a dock out on the water, or get rustic cabins. We have waterfalls to explore here also. We have dinner on the dock, and then you have the choice of doing a night paddle or just relaxing.

Day 3: We start with a big breakfast before we head out paddling. We will be exploring the Esquinas River, looking for wildlife of all types (monkeys, raccoons, dolphins, rays, Jesus Christ lizards, butterflies, birds, etc.). After the river we will get to do some snorkeling at various small reefs. We have lunch on the beach before we paddle to Caña Blanca Lodge or Beach. Here we will get you situated in your room or set up the tents, and you have the choice of hiking, swimming, or just relaxing. We have dinner at the Caña Blanca Lodge, and then a night hike or paddle is possible.

Day 4: We have breakfast at the lodge or on the beach and then go on a hike through the virgin rain forest. We will be going into the "Hidden Valley," which is currently being purchased to help create Piedras Blancas National Park. We have lunch along the way and return to our campsite in the afternoon. You then have the choice of swimming, hiking to waterfalls, snorkeling, or just relaxing untill we have dinner at Caña Blanca Lodge or on the beach.

Day 5: We start the day with a big healthy breakfast and then paddle to Dolphin Quest Lodge. If the visibility is good, we can do some snorkeling along the way. We also have the option to take a tour of a small botanical garden called Casa Orquidea. We get you situated in your room or set up your tents before lunch at Dolphin Quest. We then take a hike to waterfalls, or we can arrange for a horseback riding trip, a massage, or a scuba diving trip. We finish the day with a big dinner at the lodge.

Day 6: We start paddling at 5-7 a.m. and have a light breakfast in the middle of the gulf. We will have a great view of the sunrise from the kayaks. The crossing usually takes 2½ to 4 hours (depending on the tide, wind, and the group itself). We can also rent a water taxi for $34/person (this allows a morning hike or paddle after breakfast). We dock the boats at the Puerto Jimenez Yacht Club, right by the pier.
